How often have you heard yourself say you’d pray for someone when you received news about a friend’s poor health or a trying situation in their life? Has someone emailed or texted you and asked you to pray for someone’s immediate need but you forget the request as you juggle your daily life? Consider having a prayer bowl nearby—a beautiful container that gracefully holds your loving prayers and “intention cards”.
In Part 1, you’ll learn about the history of prayer bowls, how they were used, and why they were so important to our ancestors. Afterward, you’ll create your own hand-formed bowl using quick air-drying clay. After your bowl is thoroughly dried, in Part 2, you’ll paint and decorate your bowl giving it your personal touch. You will also create intention cards to be used to write your prayer requests, blessings, and intentions as they arise. No experience is necessary. Everyone is invited to create their own blessing bowl!
